Last month, I was walking down Fairfax with a friend and passed these doors that read, "ACHTUNG!" Immediately I thought of HowNosm. Sure enough, it was a HowNosm exhibit at the Known Gallery. Of course I had to go in, and of course it had to be the one rare day I didn't have my G12 on me (so forgive the iPhone 3G pics).
On Known's website, they described the exhibit as the following: "ACHTUNG! is a collection of pieces that resemble broken mirrors, each filled with messages that are, by turns, sharp-edged, blurred and fast-changing. They serve as a reminder of the need to, and the dangers of failing to, walk alertly through this life."
Came upon this glorious giant black hand holding a bottle spilling of red stuff.
I thought I'd be back to take more photos of more artwork, but didn't get around to it before it was gone :(. But here is one of their amazing pieces.
Many pieces of stencils that the two brothers used hung on the wall.
Pyramids covered one entire wall.
